The best system depends on your property layout, budget, and how many rooms you want to cool or heat. Most UK homes choose wall‑mounted split systems because they’re efficient, quiet, and cost‑effective. For multiple rooms, a multi‑split system allows several indoor units to run from one outdoor unit. Larger homes or new builds may benefit from ducted systems for a cleaner, concealed finish.
We offer free surveys to help you choose the most suitable option.
Most domestic air conditioning installations do not require planning permission as long as the outdoor unit meets permitted development rules. These include placing the unit at least one metre from the property boundary and ensuring it is not installed on a listed building or in a conservation area.
We can advise you during the survey if any restrictions apply to your property.

Yes! Modern air conditioning systems work as air‑to‑air heat pumps, meaning they can provide both cooling in summer and efficient heating in winter. These systems use less electricity and deliver 3–4 times more heat per kW of energy compared to electric radiators.
